Monsters with their heel lifted off the ground when walking and standing, but do not tag digitigrade on hooved monsters. Tag unguligrade on hooved monsters instead.
The monster's foot will usually be quite long compared to a human's.

Walks or stands on its digits (naturally; not like humans do it). Compare with plantigrade and unguligrade.

Examples of animals that are commonly classified as digitigrade

• Most Avians
• Canines
• dog
• wolf
• Felines
• cat
• lion
